Last night, current Hibs SAMH Changing Room attendees joined forces with alumni from previous sessions who now meet under the banner Supporting Our Supporters hosted by Hibernian Community Foundation.
We had one of the renowned 'walk and talks' around the pitch (similar outings take place at Changing Rooms across Scotland, from Cappielow to Tynecastle, East End Park to Ibrox). Hot discussion topics were Hibs' dip in form (three straight defeats leaving them anchoring the Scottish Premiership, while the 1st leg of their Europa Conference League play-off against Aston Villa saw them outclassed by the team sitting seventh in the English Premier League and taking a 0-5 deficit into the return leg in Birmingham tomorrow). A burning issue was who would replace Lee Johnson, given his marching orders on Monday? As well as spraffing about the football, anyone wanting to broach mental health issues knew they could always do so in confidence, and would receive 100% support from everyone else involved in the Changing Room.
